This Organization was created by a great Sufi Scholar of the time Hazrat Pir Zamin Nizami, Late Sajjdanashin of Dargah Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia in 1980. It was registered under Society Registration Act of 1860.  All India Jamiat ul Sufia was established for the purpose of promoting National Integration and for removing communalism, prejudices and hatred from the society.  The first President of AIJUS was Dewan Syed Saulat Hussain, Ex Sajjadanashin of Dargah Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Gharib Nawaz.  Presently Syed Farid Ahmed Nizami is the General Secretary of AIJUS.

 Since 1980 AIJUS has organized a number of Seminars, Conferences and Spiritual Gatherings all over India to promote the cause of Sufism.  The first International Celebration to commemorate the 1400 glorious years of Isam “Jashn-e-Islam” was held at Lal Qila Maidan in 1980 under its auspices. Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shrimati Indira Gandhi was the Chief Patron of the Celebration Committee.

 Taking inspiration from AIJUS, Sufi Cultural Organization was formed as per the need of current concerns with an enhanced new vision.
